<strong>Event Overview</strong><strong>
</strong>In 2012, ABCG established itself as a leader in the promotion of integrated freshwater conservation and WASH (FW-WASH) approaches through building the evidence base for FW-WASH, creating tools for implementers, and documenting lessons learned from pilots in Uganda and South Africa. Efforts expanded beyond field-level targets through the creation of an FW-WASH Community of Practice to share experiences and applicability and most recently to enable integration within local governance through changes in policy, planning or funding through advocacy. This presentation reviewed ABCG’s achievements, focusing on the latter part of the task work, and highlight how Conservation International and the Jane Goodall Institute plan on building on their FW-WASH experiences into future work. countries where work occurred; South Africa, Uganda.
