International Gorilla Conservation Programme (IGCP) was formed to be focused on the survival of the mountain gorilla subspecies. Anna Behm Masozera shared her experience of IGCP in the role of mountain gorillas in fostering collaboration for conservation within the African Great Lakes Region.
Anna Behm Masozera has been with the International Gorilla Conservation Programme (IGCP)—a coalition of Fauna & Flora International and WWF—since 2010, and became the Director of the Programme in 2013. She is originally from the United States and trained in forest resources and conservation as well as public communication, and leads an accomplished team of conservationists in their work to conserve the critically-endangered mountain gorillas alongside partner organizations and institutions in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda, and Uganda.
