The Dzanga-Sangha PA located in the south western Central African Republic is managed by the CAR government, with support from WWF. A Primate Habituation Programme was launched in 1997 and up to 2011 the PHP received about 550 tourists annually. However, decades of intense civil strife have destabilized the program, threatening its continuation.
