Over the past 3 years the Africa Biodiversity Collaborative Group (ABCG) has explored steps and methodologies on how to incorporate biodiversity into land-use planning using spatial prioritization and scenario analysis based on primary four case studies. These countries include Republic of Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo, Tanzania, and Madagascar. They have also been reviewing work on land-use planning in Gabon. The aim of the workshop was to exchange ideas and methodologies for incorporating biodiversity into land-use planning in Africa.
