The Spring 2018 Issue of the World Wildlife Magazine features three articles on the World Wildlife Fund’s (WWF) ongoing efforts to conserve forests and biodiversity in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). Cary Farley (Ph.D.), Chief of Party for WWF-US’s Central Africa Forest Ecosystems Conservation (CAFEC) program in the DRC, spoke about WWF-DRC’s Country Strategy and provided an in-depth look into recent successes and challenges of the CAFEC program. The CAFEC program, funded by the United States Agency for International Development, represents one of their longest running initiatives in Central Africa.

Cary has been working in Central and Eastern Africa for more than twenty years to support community conservation initiatives, strengthen environmental governance and improve local livelihoods.
