Poaching is devastating elephant populations especially in DRC. In the Okapi Faunal Reserve elephant population declined by 75% from 1996–2011. Several protection approaches have been implemented but with limited effectiveness. This presentation enlightens on intervention approaches currently being taken by the Wildlife Conservation Society to conserve elephants in DRC.
