The coronavirus pandemic has disrupted all areas of our life. Amidst the illness and the loss of lives of thousands of people globally, are negative environmental, economic and social consequences that have come with lock downs, social distancing and other measures put in place to contain the spread of the virus. This zoonotic disease, has demonstrated the strong interconnection between ecosystem health and human health. It has demonstrated that no sector can be able to conduct business in a degraded environment, and the need for integration and collaboration among sectors.
Leaders have had to make tough decisions and develop strategies that would see their organizations, employees and those that they support cushioned from the economic and social shocks caused by the pandemic. In this webinar, conservation and development leaders will share lessons they have learned during the crisis and measures that they are putting in place to ensure that all the three dimensions of sustainable development, social, economic and environment, are met. The webinar will discuss key practices and integrated solutions for building back better in the midst of a pandemic.
Discussion topics will include:
- Building back better: Resilient communities
- Building back better: A Green and Just Recovery
- Building back better: The One Health Approach
