This virtual knowledge exchange session provides an overview into the world of innovative technology that is helping to disrupt illegal wildlife trade. The Wildlife Crime Tech Challenge, a USAID initiative in partnership with the National Geographic Society, the Smithsonian Institution, and TRAFFIC called on innovators to showcase promising technology solutions for wildlife issues.

Two winners from this challenge present in this virtual event: (i) e-Eye®; and (ii) Instant Detect. e-Eye® is an innovative technology that seeks to convert wildlife crime data into information and generate an alert before a crime takes place. Instant Detect is a wildlife and threat monitoring system designed for the world’s most demanding environments.
