Dr. Richard Bergl, North Carolina Zoological Society, made a presentation focusing on NCZP’s 5 years of work with Cybertracker.  As one of the founding members of the SMART Partnership, he has lead the development of the mobile device component of SMART.

Cybertracker, a mobile computer-based monitoring system, was implemented for Cross River gorilla conservation as appropriate technology. It measures threat, protection and biological data using information collected during field patrols and surveys. Cybertracker lessons are now being used to inform the SMART law enforcement monitoring tool.
