Humans and the environment are inextricably linked. Solving the complex challenges we face today demands a better understanding of how aspects of population impact the environment, how environmental change impacts our health and well-being, and what can be done to address these issues.

The Population Reference Bureau’s International Programs gave an overview of global demographic trends, and included PRB’s new ENGAGE multimedia presentation on “Population, Health, and Environment Working Together,” which highlights the complex and interrelated challenges faced by many families and communities around the world, and shows how the PHE (population, health, and environment) approach can address these challenges.
