The Communications team at World Wildlife Fund hosted a Q&A discussion on wildlife crime and with New York Times correspondent Jeffrey Gettleman.

Gettleman is the newspaper’s longtime East Africa bureau chief and current Southeast Asia bureau chief. A Pulitzer Prize winner, Gettleman has been one of the main journalists globally covering illegal wildlife trade issues in Africa. In 2012 he broke the news of the African elephant poaching frenzy that sparked attention worldwide.

Gettleman has published a new memoir called “Love, Africa,” which he’ll also discuss during the event. Copies of “Love, Africa” will be available for purchase during the event for $29.75, courtesy of bookseller Politics & Prose. (Cash, checks and all major credit cards accepted.) Gettleman will sign copies of the book during a reception following the talk; refreshments will be served.
