Conservation International 2011 Crystal Drive, Suite 500 Arlington, VA 22202
Tuesday, 11:00 PM to 12:00 PM
April 11, 2017
The presentation shared results of the Vital Signs program first phase of implementation and invited opportunities for collaboration for the second 5 years phase of the program. The Vital Signs monitoring system (www.vitalsigns.org) collects and integrates data using standardized protocols and methods including household surveys among others.
Vital Signs is led by Conservation International (CI) in partnership with the Tanzania Forest Conservation Group (TFCG), the Africa Innovations Institute (AfrII) in Uganda, the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources and National Bureau of Statistics in Kenya, and the Wildlife Conservation Society in Rwanda.
Alice Ruhweza is the Executive Director, Vital Signs, Africa Field Division, Conservation International. Alice promotes multi-scale and multi-sectoral use of Vital Signs’ data, and ensure the same data adds value to policy and planning frameworks across sectors and scales.
