Challenges and perspectives for saving the last forest elephants of DRC – slide presentation
Poaching is devastating elephant populations especially in DRC. In the Okapi Faunal Reserve elephant population declined by 75% from 1996–2011. Several protection approaches have been implemented but with limited effectiveness. The magnitude of the disaster is great, and innovative intervention is needed.
This is a slide deck of the presentation with the same title “Challenges and Perspectives for Saving the Last Forest Elephants of DRC“.
