ICT in Conservation: Examples in Agriculture – slide presentation

The agriculture and biodiversity conservation sectors overlap in extensively as both are rooted in natural resource management and utilization. Thus many of the best practices in management can be transferred or applied interchangeably between the two. Ms. Shermain explores such approaches in agriculture, such as extension services, that can be better served or enhanced through ICT integration; what works and fails; and real examples and initiatives–all couched in the transferrability of such approaches to biodiversity conservation and sustainable development.
